“The Internationals” were created in 1940 by Arthur Möller and Reinhold Unger to represent European nations for possible sale in those countries.
They are the only known Hummel Figurines that are not in typical German costumes, but rather developed from Berta Hummel’s sketches of children around the world in their own dress.
They were never put into production and only a few samples exist, making them extremely rare.
Master sculptor Arthur Möller was credited with creating this little Hungarian hiker, striking a pose in his impressive outfit.
