This ring, in finely chiseled gold, has a ribbon band decorated with bold foliage. In its oval setting is a bicolor agate intaglio depicting a Griffin on top of a crown, with initials “GPD” at the bottom. The letters were carved in reverse, so that the ring could be used as a seal for stamping documents.
